Oh, I am quite well, don't worry, that is my
"happy" face. People just don't get
it. What kind of tea? I am sort of snooty and
particular when it comes to tea....
Being particular is somewhat expected. No
point in drinking tea that isn't all that
great.
Hmmm... I don't know what kind of tea you
prefer.
One of my favorites but might be too rich for
right now is the Punjabi version of chai.
Black loose leaf tea boiled in milk with
cardemum, cloves, cinnamon and a decent
helping of sugar. (And it does not taste
like liquefied pumpkin pie. Friggin'
Starbucks.)
But perhaps you'd prefer oolong, or jasmine,
or green tea? Or peppermint or pomegranate?
All loose leaf of course. Only the best.
Yeah, that is way too much for me! Boiled in
milk?? I drink green tea at work, and
presently, at home I am switching back and
forth between differently flavored rooibuses,
or would that be rooibii (caramel,
ginger-tangerine, vanilla) and chamomiles
(kiwi-strawberry, honey almond).
I had forgotten about rooibus tea. I imagine
you'd like the way Afghans prepare their tea,
which is much less intense. (As is their
food. To believe I grew up on curry but
these days I have to be careful that I'm
relaxed when I go out to an Indian restaurant
because I'm not used to how rich it all is
anymore.)
(I could talk about tea and food for very
long periods of time. In fact, the only part
of the Urdu language that actually stuck in
my brain is the food names. Aheh.)
I admit this is the first time I've ever seen
the word rooibus. Off to investigate.
And secondly: how you manage to very often
look so different with the one wall/one light
is beyond me, but it's great. (Always with
the killer shirts, too.)

Quite the look of disapproval. The shadows reshape your face interestingly.
It's been a long time. Almost forgot what you looked like. ;)

I look the same, just more dissatisfied, and presently, bearded.
trini_naenae (56 months ago | reply)
Haha. Too bad about the dissatisfaction. Perhaps that will remedy itself. I'm quite curious about the beard...

I am like the chameleon!
And yeah, that *was* a killer shirt, then it got washed with a half a pack of Orbit gum, and now it is my painting smock. :-)
