Nitro-scrambled egg and bacon ice cream, pain perdu, tea jelly

Oh my god. Perhaps our favorite of the night. Not just sweet, also savory/grilled and salty bacon and tomato jam, which they didn't even mention!

Paired with NV Butler Fine Old Muscat, Rutherglen, Victoria.

OMG. TFD. Yes, THE Fat Duck.

It's a great place! Painful for us, with the dollar where it is... lucky we had a gift certificate we'd purchased when the pound was at $1.70!

i was reading the time magazine today in the library and saw an article about chefs with kitchens that look more like a lab. and they have samples of "science" food and this was one of them!
and for my facebook status, i wrote nitro scrambled egg ice cream.
anyway, enough with my rants, HOW WAS THE NITRO SCRAMBLED EGG ICE CREAM?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha

its so bizarre i love it!
they had three samples on the magazine and one was really weird. it was a block of green something with a LIVE snail on top of it. lol
