The dragon tree at Icod

This was our first view of the famous dragon tree at Icod de los Vinos. It is estimated to be anything between 650 and 3 000 years old, but no-one is quite sure as it does not have growth rings like a true tree. In my opinion they should cut down the distracting palm tree next to it - they are ten a penny but the dragon tree is unique.
