It's quite tasty*, actually .... the classic "steamie" or "steamé" is a hot dog in a top-loading bun (like the one above) which has been steamed (to the point of soft warmth, not sogginess) topped with mustard. onion and coleslaw.

Not unlike the slaw dog in your other picture, except that where you've got what appears to be creamy coleslaw, a steamie uses ... whatever one calls the non-creamy kind.

* "tasty" as measured on the hotdog scale, not the actual food scale, of course. Though this yummy photo helps blur the difference.
