    Hi, magpie55, sorry for the late reply... anyway, this bit was taken from a much bigger embroidery (about A4 size) that got damaged, I just cut out a patch that was still good. The fabric is just white linen, and I drew the diamond lines with gold gutta and filled in each diamond with a different coloured thread (DMC stranded cotton) and handworked satin stitch. Mounted the piece on card, glued the overhang ontto the back of the card, and then another piece of coloured paper over that to hide the flaps. Pretty simple and unsophisticated.     I have so much thread and so much linen and I never thought of this but thank you so much I'm going to start and make one whlst I'm sitting here being a couch potato. LOVE IT.
