    Very cute!
    silly question...is that an actual blackboard or that blackboard paint stuff? I've been wanting to do that for a long time but I wasn't sure how the well the paint works.
    Does that make sense?

    It's special chalkboard paint, and it's so easy to do. If you put it over existing paint, you don't need primer and it only took two coats.

    What could SO have against this? Looks like an After, not Before pic. Is it that piles accumulate here? Maybe some sort of attractive magazine tote so you can stash things you're working on without too much trouble? Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, as my gran would say!

    You should be able to get chalkboard paint at Lowes or Home Depot. I just got myself a spray can (minor job, not a whole wall) at the Michaels craft chain store.

    Absolutely, they are from Cost Plus World Market. I think they cost about $15 a piece.
