oh sweet irony
i love that google's text ads are shoehorning ads for "vote for pedro" shirts alongside my "down with 'vote for pedro' tees" rant on preshrunk.
thanks for pointing that out, brad.

who determines what google ads are shown? you or google? how does it work? anyone know?

pharma5, it's all automated on Google's part. Basically a warehouse full of monkeys at Google sit and look at web pages day and night and serve ads to them based on the content of the pages. So of your page is about Vote For Pedro t-shirts, then you'll get ads for Vote For Pedro t-shirts.

You forgot to add that these monkeys can't actually read, so if they see similar symbols, chances are you're gonna get relevant ads. But suppose you're page is about the history of the question mark (?), you're probably going to wind up with ads about buying action figures of The Riddler from Batman. Damn monkeys.
