we waited and waited for those belly dancers but they never came. We also had double the power with us.

SP Friday

SP Friday

oh how I wish my camera could take a cordless remote, oh how I wish, these SP's are not easy for me. I hope to get better with each one, bare with me. A long time ago I looked into a remote and it was only available with a cord and sort of pricey if I remember. This camera is like a first generation digital SLR so finding the latest greatest at a reasonable price is not so easy.

She said to find three gifts one might see when getting up close. This is one of my three. The pretty, pretty colored bubbles on my bar of soap. How I wish I had a better up close lens to really show how pretty those bubbles are, but we have all seen them with our own eyes which really are the very best lenses of all.

another project

Now inspired by the book "Art Saves" which is a wonderful book filled with artists who share their stories and inspire big time, I have decided to take a picture through my bedroom window and have it look different in about 100 ways, I have taken two in the past few days, 98 left. I was cleaning yesterday and happened to look up as I was wrapping the vacuum cord up and I saw this, and I had to stop to look and take a picture. The best part is, I also went outside with my iPhone and as I was taking more pictures, Rich texted me and told me to look outside, I shot him an image back, and said, already there and his reply....that's my girl.

Being Home, book of meditations & joy dare #5a

Being Home, book of meditations & joy dare #5a

In November I posted a laundry shot and talked about a book I love and some of you asked about the title and author, I couldn't remember because I had misplaced the book. In all my cleaning and organizing, guess what I found? I'm laughing cause I thought it was a book of the 70's…way off it was published in 91, all black and white photo's and meditations about everyday housework. So it's more like just over 20 years as opposed to 40 years old:) The book is called "Being Home" written by Gunilla Norris and photographs by Greta D. Sibley. I decided today that I want to photograph my own pictures to match her meditations, the book doesn't have a photo for each meditation. She has 71 meditations from making a bed, paying bills, arranging flowers, shoveling, listening etc. It's such a thoughtful book and so well related for me as a woman, I take such pride in the things we get to do as women.
