LOL! I can't believe I didn't think of that considering the fact that we painted almost every downstairs room of our house a few months ago. I was so sick of painter's tape by the end that I never wanted to see that blue stuff again. Now I'm ready to start on the upstairs. ;-)

Ok, I see from your tags this must be from somewhere in Ol' Pasa-denah...but where the heck, where!? I must know these things. Your blog didn't say, either. Inform a girl, willya?

just love the way you've framed this. the stairs disappearing into the darkness...the stairs in the foreground not entirely visible. eeexcellent.

Very nice shot, Shari...I'd be afraid I'd be looking at the stripes and bust my butt. :-)))

Mayr, north side of Colorado! I always want to know details too! :-)

Thanks Toby and George! I actually was bummed when I got home and looked at the pictures and realized that the shots I had that included the bottom two stairs in full were blurry. So I need to go back and shoot some more, this time without cutting off the sides of the bottom two stairs. But I still like this shot, even though it's not exactly how I would want it.

George, I thought the same thing! Knowing me, I would fall on my butt, all the way down the stairs. I had socks on in our previous house, and my foot slipped out from under me while I was scurrying down the carpeted stairs, and I fell about 4 steps, right on my butt. I had a bruise the size of a melon for at least a month. Ouch.

Definitely an ouch...just glad you weren't really hurt. I have finally learned that gravity isn't just a suggestion...it IS the law.. :-)))

That's freakin awesome! Reminds me of the house I grew up in. Hippies lived there before we did and had painted huge red and yellow arrows going up and down the stairwell. I guess just in case they needed a reminder as they traveled up and down the stairs.
