tomatoes and pepper

tomatoes and pepper by bonbayel.
Our lovely new bed is thriving. We planted just 2 tomato plants, but they are filling the whole space. We even cut them back before we left for Maine. In the foreground, there is thyme and to the left a red pepper plant. One of the peppers is just beginning to turn red. And way to the left is the stupid mini-avocado, which was full of flowers this spring when we planted it in real soil, but never attracted the right insects I guess, because we haven't found a single fruit on it.
Hidden away under the tomatoes is also an artichoke in its second year, but it has no desire to produce more than leaves, and is now completely shaded out.
