"Banned"你个头.

"Banned"你个头. by Brendan O'Kane.
In response to the hoo-ha about the Lonely Planet being confiscated from one or two travellers by one or two hick cops at one border crossing in Viet Nam, here's a list of the places I can think of in Beijing that sell LP guides to China:

--- The Friendship Store on Jianguo Lu
--- The Bookworm, on Sanlitun Nanjie
--- The Foreign Languages Bookstore, Wangfujing Dajie
--- Wangfujing Xinhua Bookstore, Wangfujing Dajie
--- Passby Bar, Nan Luogu Xiang

You may have to hurry if you want to get your copy at the Passby Bar, as the street may be slated for demolition - probably because it harbors copies of the Lonely Planet. No worries, though; I'm sure there are other places that have it that I just haven't thought of.

Can we start talking about *real* problems now?

It's a strange situation! But at least you're still smiling!
