The church at La Monte

We left the river briefly for a bit of a detour round La Monte. Catherine had decided we should go up a short way along the GR 58D to the north of the Gite d'étape (to the left of the picture – think of it as a youth hostel with a cafe attached), then walk along an unnamed path some way behind the church before joining onto the GR 58C. There was also a GR 58B in the same area. All these were offshots of the GR 58 (obviously) and which all went up and down hills, whilst the GR 58 proper trundled along the river for a bit.
