Sincerely Olive Thomas

This is from the collection of my Aunt Ida's photos. She worked mostly for Christie Studios and Olive Thomas worked there for a time.
Olive is one of the few stars of that time that is still well known today.
Here is a link to a nice web site about her.

What a striking photo! She doesn't seem 100% happy with this photo session...or maybe photographer?! Nonetheless, beautiful!

Oh my goodness, what a gorgeous photo!!! Would it be possible to get a copy of this? She would go perfectly in a vintage art nouveau frame I just purchased! Your collection of vintage photos is outstanding!

Wonderful picture, she reminds me of Mary Pickford :)

Olive was married to Mary Pickford's brother, Jack.

      What a beauty.
But, yet, another Hollywood story with a tragic end.

Thank you for the wealth of information about this celebrity. i'd seen that famous Vargas painting but didn't know about Olive. i read some of that reference material from the site that you link to but i plan to return for more. The links there to more promised art ref. material is esp intriguing for me. She was quite a woman. The reputation she had about those fascinating eyes is also interesting.
