The Triangle Cafe

The Triangle Cafe

One of the catalog shots I made for Alpine Division Scale Models. It is 1:87th scale or "HO". I made the model and the base diorama. I shot the background photo in Lee Vining Ca.

On the Road with Huell Howser

On the Road with Huell Howser

I'm a third generation Californian, and like Huell I love to travel with my camera to photograph and meet people all over the State. I remember Huell from the first day he broadcast at KCBS back in 1981. There was something in his voice, an enthusiasm and wonder that disarmed the most jaded of us. He will be missed, but I hope to enjoy his travels for a long time on the internet, Huell Rest in Peace.

Mr. Ed Smith

Mr. Ed Smith

A friend and co-worker at Rockaway Records. I have been very slow to post and I have not put anything up from Rockaway for a while, so I'm killing two birds with one stone.

Mother Road, West

Mother Road, West

I was informed that I won second place at the Miniature Show at the Whittier Art Gallery. The show will run through the month of December. The Reception is Dec. 8th from 3 to 5 PM at the Whittier Art Gallery 8035 South Painter Ave, Whittier, CA.
The photo is part of a book project I'm working on about a Whittier family that has a great history from Rhode Island, the Civil War, the Indian Wars of the West, the first trading post on the Navajo Reservation, helping found Gallup NM, and bringing New Mexico into the Union. The Family moved to California in the mid 1920s and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
