We were talking along the Chena River park in Fairbanks, and saw these musicians. Hearing them, we thought they were a local bar band, making a public lunchtime show. Instead, we looked more closely and saw that they were the Arctic Warriors, an Army band based in Fairbanks, Alaska.

We support our troops!

There is another image of the mileage sign for the Alaska Highway in Fairbanks. Turns out that the Alaska Railroad terminated here, too. This sign is on a back road in a somewhat industrial section of town north of the Chena River.
