i want to try HDR... its an art into itself.
I love the dramatic effects of the clouds and
yet the subtle capture of green moss on
rocks. lovely picture.
Yes, but Steve - you take beautifully clear
photos with great warmth to them. I could do
much better than this with a better
camera...... I'm limited by the ability of my
current camera to deal with clarity and truly
sharp images.
Thanks - hawkeye_flickr this is in the Lake
District, UK which is a National Park. It's
one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
You can walk up mountains in a matter of a
couple of hours and be up there surrounded by
fantastic views over the tops of a large
mountain range (if the weather's good). It's
so worth visiting and then taking some
photos.
Hi, I'm an admin for a group called *Magic EYE*, and we'd love to have your photo added to
the group. This is a magical image! Please share it with us in... *Magic EYE*!
Thanks again - brosif, you're so right, it is
an awesome view - and so fantastic to be
ridge walking amongst the mountain peaks!
nolarae - thank you. I start out with a view
and want to record it. Then I realise, I
actually want to enhance it! So I set my
camera to do 3 shots/second with different
exposures with almost everything I
photograph. It's like an obsession, as if the
natural photo isn't enough. Ah well, I'm a
bit pissed tonight so am rambling.
Nevertheless, I'm grateful for comments. I do
like the foreground textures here (although
it's a deliberately fairly extreme use of
HDR) but I do long for a better camera with
more pixels and better image quality. Molto
grazie.

Very dramatic light on the foreground. I can
remember only one clear exemple in landscape
painting (still an important source for
photographers): Ruysdael's View on haarlem
Thanks Krasnalek, Vlad_F and Shamana. Most interesting stuff you're doing. Cool
night shots (Vlad_F), interesting portraits
(Shamana). Well worth a look. Thanks

This maybe a slightly over done HDR by normal standards, but it so works in this shot. I love it!
