	vfk says: @Rosedale Annie: That's NOT true. Richmond was promised rapid transit service in the 80's. But was forgotton behind Burnaby and Surrey extensions in the 90's. If Coquitlam feels ripped off, blame the Millenium Line and Surrey. When the Canada Line was proposed.... Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam/Port Moody municipal politicans stated they did not want a "crime train" going through their neighbourhoods and it was too expensive. Instead an at-grade street car was envisioned. When negotiations got serious with the CLine (leveraged by 2010) and fuel prices when up, the tri cities politicans did a flip-flop.
