A photo taken 2 weeks ago along Grenadier Pond in High Park.

Down the fourth floor stairwell from the David Hockney exhibit are glass cases, embedded in the wall, full of miniature soldiers. This little group seemed to invite a photo opportunity. I had to shoot quickly as these guys clearly don't take kindly to being photographed :)

On Saturday we visited the Royal Ontario Museum and came across an exhibition of Ipad Art by David Hockney. I was intrigued after seeing the Ipad artwork created by RS. The theme is "fresh flowers", and features interesting animations of the brush strokes he used to create some of this artwork. The exhibition is at the ROM through January 1st, 2012. The following video provides a great introduction to this exhibition and the work of David Hockney.

During the past number of months I have met a number of persons struggling with blood cancer. RS has always loved to paint, but due to pain and mobility restrictions, she can no longer carry around and set up her canvas, paints and brushes. She has found great comfort in painting on her Ipad. She asked if she could paint a copy of one of my photographs (which appears in the first comment below), and drew this wonderful image on her Ipad. RS has been an inspiration to me and all those who have come in contact with her.
