Hitting up the ol' Lightroom archives again. This one is from the beach near my parents' place on Staten Island, NY. I did some shooting during my lunch hour and it was a pleasure to see just how dead the boardwalk and beach were.

This shot was taken with my 10-stop ND filter. It freakin' does wonders with water and clouds. It's also very handy if you want to ghost out pedestrians or cars during the day.

Recently, I have been trying to focus on isolating a specific component of a scene. I find that this helps me focus more clearly on what it is that I am actually trying to achieve. You can read more about this

Just hitting up the archives some more. I believe this was taken on the same day as the previous image in this stream (of South Station). Normally, I am not a big fan of isolating color in a Black & White shot. It's so easily abused these days, but I felt that the yellow sunflower (and its reflection in the train window - view Large to see) deserved to stand out on its own and be the main focal point.

Explored! Thank you!

Just going back into the Lightroom Archives and working on some HDRs from early October. This one needs to be seen Large On Black (link above).
