When I took a picture of my son's crocs, my husband swore he would click the "may offend" link if I uploaded it to Flickr. "People should be warned," he said. Heh.

i love mine AND i love yours. wooo!

  9. emilym (73 months ago | reply)

Yours are SO SHINY! Mine look all scuzzy and BLAH in comparison.

Obviously it's time for pair #2. Has Heather tried them on? They are all kinds of COMFY.

I have a hard time with shoes if I have to touch then with my hands to put them on. So clogs and their ilk are big in my house. But I'm still not sure how I feel about those plastic shoes. I mean, what is up with all the holes?

  11. mathowie (73 months ago | reply)

As one metrosexual to another, are they comfy as everyone says?

  12. A V A [deleted] (73 months ago | reply)

Why does everybody have these. Are they comfy?

  13. merlinmann (73 months ago | reply)

I have the identical pair, and I love them. But I'm not telling anyone.

  14. hessiebell (73 months ago | reply)

i bought a pair (airwalk version) just this weekend. my feet haven't been this happy in years.

  15. blurb (73 months ago | reply)

Mathowie, they are the most comfortable things my feet have worn.

Heather is wincing and writhing in pain as I type this. I fear a war of cloggery is brewing.

  16. mihow (73 months ago | reply)

Something MUST have been in the air recently.Tobyjoe went ahead and purchased a pair of Crocs as well.

I could never wear these, as comfortable as they might seem. My feet would stink to high heaven, holes included and all.

    Crocs rock.

Dude, I love you but those are hella ugly.

Almost as ugly as my new tennis shoes:

I have black ones, too. They're the least offensive color, at least.

  20. mihow (73 months ago | reply)

Wait, teal doesn't work for you people?

  21. Michelle~in~Memphis....ugh (73 months ago | reply)

I like the chocolate brown and the khaki colors. They're MANLY.

ahh, the crocs have made it to salt lake.. i hope you get leta a little pair, too. every time i see a little girl wearing crocs, i make sure to compliment her on her loooovely footwear, then i point to mine. :)

  24. MelissaS (73 months ago | reply)

I am with Heather ALL THE WAY on this issue.

I have a foot anti-fetish, and the feel of the nubbins makes we want to puke. Same reason I couldn't wear the nifty Adidas sandals a few years back.

However, my hub bought those bad boys in ORANGE and I have just two words: Babe. Magnet.

Seriously, this many girls haven't stopped him to bat their eyelashes and tell him, "cute shooooes" since... well, I can't remember when.

  28. Michelle~in~Memphis....ugh (73 months ago | reply)

" the feel of the nubbins makes me want to puke"..............great phrase

  29. gunmiko (73 months ago | reply)

cuz you were already in the doghouse, did you, will you, sneak that adorable awesome green pair of baby crocs?

justification to dooce: just something for Leta and daddy to share, and go out on walks together.

  30. estacey (73 months ago | reply)

FG: i'm guessing that has less to do with the "cuteness" of the shoes than with the fact that, hey, if he's wearing shoes that ugly, he must be really confident in his manhood. and there's probably a reason! like when a guy drives a less than hot car when he can afford better. you figure he's gotta be packin' something....

btw, i'm writing this entry in my crocs. and yes, i'm hella confident in my womanhood. ;)

Are those holes so that your feet can breathe? Or are they there so that everyone can smell your feet? I have seen these things in the stores, and I can not figure them out. My boyfriend wears clogs to work in the restaurant, and I cringe whenever he wears the things on regular outings, i.e. to the store, out to eat, etc. If he ever sees these things, he will so buy stock in the company. I am scared.

  32. blurb (73 months ago | reply)

Yes on breathing. But also for drainage. These are great sprinkler tweaking shoes.

  33. sarah. reed. (72 months ago | reply)

I would so kill my hubby if he wore those!

  34. estacey (72 months ago | reply)

marie - i somehow just noticed your ish comment. wisconsin norwegians say that too! and lord it made me giggle to see that in print! uff da!

anyway, crocs are good for drainage:

but are not too handy for anything else in the yard beyond the getting wet. they trap dirt like a mofo! and then you have dirty, white trash feet!

  35. Kim+5 (72 months ago | reply)

check it- personalized clogs. i saw these at the local hallmark. you could get heather a pair and customize with dooce.com. oh! oh! or you could get leta little ones that say leta!

  38. jody2ms (72 months ago | reply)

    Crocs rule.

    The comfort overrules the ugliness.
