Fix You

Yes, this is my shoulder. It is the result of an operation I had done six years ago to repair my shattered clavicle. 6 titanium screws and a titanium plate hold it all together.

It's good as new now :)

      (123) I like this. A lot. It takes the whole transparent screen idea and does something new with it. :)

      very clever.

what happened to your shoulder, if i may ask, for it to need such extensiver repair??

    13. ...andrew (77 months ago | reply)

it was a rugby injury. if you hit the ground at exactly the right angle with over 200kg of weight behind you... well, lets just say bones werent designed to withstand such force.
needless to say a great deal of pain was associated with the shattered mess that was my former shoulder.

      Ha! Awesome photo.

ugh. sounds horrible. I know from experience that even just minor shoulder injuries (through weightlifting ive managed to injure both my back, shoulder, and tear my bicep) are a pain in the ass to get over:(

My twin sister broke her clavicle playing soccer a few years ago but all they did to fix hers was put this back brace contraption on her. I have heard many gruesome sounds while playing soccer, but hearing that pop was the worst. Intersting photo...

Fix You... great title, I love Coldplay. I actually found some Xrays this weekend. It didn't occur to me to scan them. Brilliant.

thanks everyone for your comments :)

@nebrtwin: at first they didnt want to operate, they thought it would fuse together by itself. 2 months later it was still in 3 seperate pieces so they did a little reconstruction. oh yeah, that sound that a bone makes when it snaps like that is still in my head to this day. horrible. in fact, i think the guy that did this to me was physically sick after hearing it break!

@carolina: im a big coldplay fan too, was listening to this song as i was uploading the photo. thought the title might be appropriate :)
