The Moon and Mars.

The Moon and Mars.

No light sources outside, so this was a sod to do.

First I had to waaay overexpose and stop down just to get a decent (*)shutter speed. Then I had to guess where to hold the chocolate.

Finally, I had to pop my external flash at the choccy to light it.

(*) Decent in this case means "having enough time to hold the choccy and pop the flash at it and not any value of technical perfection. Besides, technical perfection in this instance would make it look too fake :o)

Snow!

Snow!

Our garden at night, covered in snow. Because it's quite cloudy and the white balance is fixed against the snow, it looks rather day timey-wimey. The only clue is the slight hint of an amber streetlight at the back, but then, that could just about pass for a slightly setting sun.

Of course, ye EXIF of greatness will back up my case.
