There are already a number of nice photos of Arne Quinze's Cityscape in Brussels, but since there was a nice light today I thought I'd post mine too.
This is a typical Brussels story: a block of houses and shops were razed a few years ago but the real estate developer got stuck with lawsuits and complaints from all over the place. That left a gaping hole on Avenue de la Toison d'Or, one of Ixelles' popular shopping areas. Come Arno Quinze, a designer with a talent for marketing, who persuaded the city government to let him build his Cityscape while the developer sorts out its legal problems. You can see images of the construction on the Cityscape blog. For more Brussels pictures and movies, as well as for a glimpse in my other projects, see www.bluebrussels.com and countriesincolors.com.
