SHP - I saw your comment on katyray's page about the canon 50 1.8. I guess the question is do you have the money for the 1.4? If not the 1.8 is great. I've had mine for about 4 years now and it's still in great shape. and if you think about it even if you do somehow manage to break it, even after you buy 2 it's still way cheaper than the 1.4. Granted I wouldn't mind the 1.4 or even the 1.2 but I just don't have the cash for them at the moment.
