i caught a robber crab in goa it was on a coconut palm at shoulder height,we first attempted to lever it off with a brush shaft which it snapped like a twig,i had to use my scuba tank to knock it off, it was very tasty ,like a cross between mud crab and lobster with a slightly nutty taste.it was 19 inches (51cms) long and weighed 4.2kg.
