This image is really worth seeing in hi-res. Some of the covers are
really spectacular, and some are downright ridiculous (The Avengers on
the David Letterman show? Really?)

Phenomenal picture - really gives you a sense of the long history of the Avengers. And I don't just mean within the Marvel universe - my father used to read Avengers comics as a young boy after stealing them from his older brother. Older, cheesier, slightly more PG...but basically the same characters, fighting the same villains. His stories became my stories growing up - which became the next's generation's stories with the release of this movie. It's awesome to think about, really.
Oh, and since no comment is complete without a shameless plug for one's own work, please check out this Avengers workout I designed to inspire nerds (I.E most folks to judge by Avengers box office performance) to better health. Even if you're not into working out - it's still a dorky, fun read, so...yeah.
