Hexagon Tile Quilt
Made for a friend who is getting married next weekend. Her favorite color is green and she loves old, retro type things.
The pattern is loosely based on a quilt from Kaffe Fassett’s book Country Garden Quilts. He calls it a Spider Web Quilt. But to me, it looks more like Italian tiles. And I busted out my never-before-used 60 degree triangle ruler to cut the sections. Six triangles make a whole hexagon.
The finished size was somewhere around 75" x 80" before quilting. I think I lost a couple of inches all the way around after quilting and washing.

Tia - 3 wedges made half of a hexagon, so I made half-hexagons and lined them up in rows vertically. That way I didn't have to sew set-in seams like the book directions illustrated. It really wasn't as hard as it looks.

I see! I have a couple of hexagons made from one of Kaffe's books, but kinda fizzled on the project. I really like yours though!
