I know I've said it before, but it saddens me that the Dry Erase Board has edged out the standard chalk board. Isn't chalk dust part of what it means to be a teacher? :)

I guess we're both on a chalk kick today!!! I can't tell you how many hours I spent banging out those erasers....what do teachers do today to punish kids who misbehave...?

I had a teacher who use to be allergic to chalk, so she'd have to take shots after she'd write on the board. Then we got the Dry Erase, and we asked how she liked not having to worry about the allergies, and she said she rather have the chalk board.

For punishment they make then smell the dry erase markers! LOL Nice shot. I love it.

Whoa! immediately brings back good and bad memories. The bad... being called to the board to set up an algebra equation. :-)

My dad was a teacher and I used to fill the chalk board with drawings when I'd stay after school with him sometimes. Dry erase is nice but there's just something so necessarily scholastic about the chalk board.
