My version of the weekender bag IMG_0474Added D-rings for an optional longer shoulder strap. A wide pocket for reading material which closes with two magnetic snaps.
My inspiration (obviously) was the fabulous Weekender bag using Amy Butler's olive lacework fabric. Basically I wanted to create a fun yet functional (and durable) overnight bag.

It's incredibly huge! I haven't checked the actual dimensions of the original version, but I think this one is bigger :) Project notes: The orientation is more horizontal, rather than vertical for more accessibility. Also the shoulder straps were extended to the bottom, dividing the front pocket into three parts. Other modifications included extra zippers around the perimeter, interior pockets, laptop holder/divider, D-rings, and an elastic side pocket. There are photo notes as well!
