Play it Forward

A friend at work gave me her guitar. Last month, she gave me her telescope. She wanted nothing for them because she is "a firm believer in paying it forward." She knew I was looking for a smaller acoustic than the Epiphone (my sister's) that I've been playing. I was only looking to spend around $50, which isn't very easy. And here I got one for free. Her wife bought it for her about 18 years ago. It's just been hanging on the wall of her studio forever, so she asked her wife, "Would you mind if I offered it to Katie?" and her wife said, "Do what you want, it's your guitar!" And now it is my guitar. It came with a case, too! I'm really excited about that.
