As a recovering wage slave, I'm also a firm believer of wasting as much time as possible at work. So at the very least, by liking my Facebook Page, I'm helping you, help me, help you, by helping us, burn a few more minutes off the work day.

    Let’s waste even more time together: |-| Twitter |-| Smugmug |-| 500px |-| Technical Mumbo Jumbo |-|

So there I was, late night, all alone, deep in the bowels of Stockholm’s (T-Bana) subway system, setting up to take this shot, when all of a sudden this Swedish dude rushes up to me. He stammers, “What are you doing, taking pictures!?”

*(Now, I’m from South Florida & I basically grew up in Miami, so when someone approaches me like that, I automatically go into combat mode.)

I tense up, caught off guard, “Excuse me, yea? What do you want?”

“Oh sorry,” he says, looking apologetic, “I didn’t mean to startle you. I’m just really into photography & I’m a bit drunk. Want some wine!?”

He gingerly reaches down the front of his pants, pulls out a bottle of nearly finished red wine and brandishes it toward me, red liquid sloshing around and says, “Here, have some wine!”

I look at the wine, look at him, look at the wine again, “No thanks,” I say, “I’m more of a white wine kind of guy.”

“You sure?” He shrugs, smiles, and produces a small plastic cup. He pours in some wine and takes a sip, clearly satisfied with himself.

All I remember thinking was, “Where the hell did the cup come from!?” -- Probably best to not know...

After a lot of interesting conversation about Sweden, photography, and (of course) wine, we exchange email addresses and he continues on his way, headed to a nearby party.

You meet the strangest people in the subway at midnight...

Wonderful photos of the Stockholm subway. This really makes me miss what I remember being touted as the "world's longest art gallery".

This I think is an absolutely excellent shot! ...Therefore, last time I was in Stockholm I tried to copy your idea, hoping to come up with something looking similar to your fantastic picture. This is actually the very first time I've tried to make a serious HDR-image and by the help of looking at your photo as guidance, I'm really happy with my own result! wow, that's fantastic!! Just wondering, whether you really set up a tripod in the subway and if so, didn't you get into trouble?

Nice commentary. The most ask that silly question. What are you photographing? When most of us are deep in thought and concentration. It is most gratifying when the 1 in a 1000 will actually say, "nice view."
