Thanks everyone! I pushed the contrast a
just a scosche, took out about 1º of rotation
and cropped; otherwise that's how it came out
of the camera. I underexposed quite a bit
(-1.3ev) to try to keep the reflection of
the light from blowing out so much on the
windshield so you can see the individual
bulbs.
Of this scene? Probably close to a dozen,
all with varying exposures. I also took a
couple in portrait orientation. This was the
best overall, although if I had the Photoshop
chops I could combine a couple of the others
to regain some detail in the reflection and
light source. One of the reasons I got back
into photography, however, is to spend *less*
time at the computer! :-)

This was taken in a parking garage in
downtown Nashua, NH. Not the most photogenic
location (or at least not what I was hoping
to find), but I liked the patterns formed by
the overhead fluorescents that were in every
other rafter cavity or so.
This is *not* an HDR image; I just
increased the contrast a bit in Aperture
before uploading.

Absolute amazing shot! How can you get so
much darkness in the rest of the shot. There
must have been more lights then just that
one!! Great shot!

Thank you, again, for your comments and kind
words, everyone. This was taken in a parking
garage, and there was an overhead light in
every other gap between beams. That helped
create the upside-down cone effect of the
lights; you can see the light falling on the
wall from another light to the right of the
frame. I really just tried to capture the
scene as I saw it, and underexposing the shot
helped highlight the car while leaving the
shadows very dark.
The MINI's name is Scrat, by the way. :-)

You people rock. It's hard to believe I
posted this nearly 14 months ago (man, how
time flies!) and I've gotten three more
favorites in the last month. Very cool.

Hey, Sid! Thanks! This was taken in the
High St. garage. Looks like it's right
around the corner from your studio. :-)
