When I found that Hardware Monitor for Mac OS X supported external status LCDs, I saw an opportunity to bling out my Mac in such a way as to remove pretty much the only thing I was envious of in custom, hardcore PC rigs: the status LCD. I grabbed a couple of LCDs and controller boards and a soldering iron and before long I was all setup. Watch all 4 cores doing their magic.
