      Bummer! This was originally a Little Tavern. Of course, it had been altered nearly beyond recognition:

      Bummer indeed, dear agilitynut.. I fear it will be demolished to make way for more downtown Silver Spring renewal projects... this is a prime corner now. I wish they could at least move it, like they did the Tastee Diner. thanks for those links... a cool history and collection!
