      Rare photo!!! It would be interesting to know if any of these young lady's actually became professional ballet dancers.

      Usually, black dancers bodies were considered less than ideal for white aesthetics so it was more probable that they were chorus line dancers or modern dancers. There were a few classical ballet dancers though.

      What a gorgeous photo, i had to show it to my daughter, she is 3 and wants to be a ballarina but she thinks all ballarina's are blond : (

      They are so beautiful!!! Reminds me of ballet class when I was 8 or so. LOL
