Wow. Very dramatic! It almost looks like a moonscape or something; the brownish shadows in the snow are surprising because it always seems that the shadows on snow look grey or bluish.

@ Ani: there was a lot of sand mixed in with the snow which may account for some of the colour. Also the area is very industrial - teh state park is surrounded by powers stations, auto factories, a "Government disposal facility" etc - so the air/water may be pretty polluted. That said, the light and colour changed by the minute; even if I'd tried I couldn't've shot enough film to keep up with it...
