Day 5

Day 5

Cory really wanted TV trays for Christmas and I was sure my Mom was going to get them for him, but she ended up getting him something else. I picked up a set for him today and I’m super excited for him to see them! He REALLY wanted some TV trays…

I’m not happy with the vignette at the top corners. I’m not sure why my lens does that, but honestly, I’m too lazy and tired to photoshop it out tonight.

I got a new hair dryer today! I needed one with a diffuser and this one was super cute.

Day 3

Day 3

Kendall's video monitor. This thing is so awesome. I couldn't live (or shower without it!)

Day 2

Day 2

Kendall and Poppy. Another thing different about 2012, actually two. One: we enter this year with a baby and two: this will be the year we lose Poppy. He seems to be doing better, but it's not long now.

Day 1

Day 1

January 1, 2012. Today starts my second attempt at a 365 (or 366 this year) project. I started one in 2010 and got 187 days into it and stopped when I got pregnant and super sick. My friend, and co-worker, Nichole's mother got a group together and we're all doing a 365 this year. I'm really excited to pick up my camera and FINISH this one. The one thing I'd like to do differently this time is focus more on the image than the editing. When I started in 2010, my goal was to learn to take better pictures, to see the world differently and to learn better editing. My editing skills are not something I'd like to work on this year so my focus is the shot. I'm also limiting myself to 5 shots (at least 5 decent shots) and no more than 15 minutes of shooting per night. I'm also aiming to edit and upload every other day, but I'd be happy with once a week. I also upgraded to a T3i (I really wanted the flip out screen) and Nichole is using my D300 until she finds a camera of her own. So far I'm not sure how happy I am with the images from the T3i. I feel like they're really noisy, even with super low ISO. Maybe I just really have to learn to use this camera. Another goal for this project.

We're eating better this year. Well, we're going to try to eat better this year...
