Colorful Juice Bottle

Colorful Juice Bottle by Thrift Store Addict.
The graphics on this bottle caught my eye. No idea who made it so far, but I am trying to figure it out by the stamp on the bottom. (*See update below!)

The cool thing is that it still has it's plastic cap, so I can use it to hold juice! Neato!

*UPDATE: A couple of FLickr members have given me some information on the company who made this design. It is made by a company called "Egizia", and they make high-end silk screen designs on glass. (Located near Tuscany, Italy)

This is one of a set of decorated Milk/Juice Bottles manufactured from the 60's through to the 80's. All original Egizia Italian milk glass/silk screen printing. The bottom is stamped with the Egizia sphinx symbol and it's respective collector number.

~aorta~ - Thanks! Now why can't they make labels like this now? I know I would have no problem finding the juice if it had bold markings like this one..

thriftster99 - I saw another bottle from the same company online, but the person selling it had less information than I do. Hopefully I can ID it soon. (Thanks!)

fun old new - coming from someone with a treasure trove like yours, that means quite a bit! Thanks!

jenn32807 - Me too! Still trying to think of a cool use for it. For now it will just sit there and look cool. Thanks!! : )

neshachan - Thanks!

m_y_eda - I'm afraid I don't know how to submit a photo to that group as there is no link in your post for that. I would be happy to do so if you can provide a link. : )

I have only seen this once before:

Unfortunately, they don't seem to have much information on it, either.

It's lovely! :-)

This bottle is by a company called Egizia, based near Tuscany. They mainly produce high-end silk screen printing on glass. This is my absolute favourite of their designs!

candy threadbare - Thanks very much for the information! I had another person tell me the same thing a couple days ago as I had noticed a similar bottle on their photo set. Having you confirm it (along with a location no less!) really makes my day! THANK YOU!

I have the same bottle with a different design- Flowers. It has the collector number 4 on the bottom and a logo from Vetreria Parmense above the sphinex which says Egizia in the tail. I think mine was made using the acl process which (again) I think was made in the late 50's. The acl process was started in 1927 to the late 50's and the Vetreria company began in1958. Using the facts I have, I assume it was made around the late 50's but no sooner than 1958. It looks like Vetreria Parmense made the bottles for Egizia. Both companies are from Italy. I don't know the value of your bottle. I hope you can put together another piece of the puzzle for me.
