My contribution to this new life is relatively insignificant. A few minutes of my time one night in September and then a a ride to the hospital some nine months later. It is a good thing that was the extent of my initial responsibility, otherwise, she might not be here. I don't like pain. I certainly would not willingly do something that I know would lead to someone I barely know making an 8 inch incision across my abdomen in order to pull this life into the world. Thank you to my wife for this wonderful gift.
