We've just come back from a fantastic 5-day break in Tübingen, in the south-western German state of Baden-Württemberg. It's such a beautiful place and the weather was great so we've returned feeling nicely chilled out.
We found the best way to see the city's beautiful waterfront on the Neckar river was to travel by pedalo (or Tretboot), preferably with the little Bitrots doing the pedalling while we lolled in the back taking photos. The other option was to take a Stocherkahn - the pole-propelled punt you can see in this picture - but the pedalo suited us just fine.
