A solo show by Morgan Alexandra Ritter
My recent work focuses on the central theme of genealogy and other connection maps among humans. I am interested in houses as conceptual tools and use the house symbol to describe and mark family history. Personal paths and parallels are investigated. Visual representations of specific histories, so important and infinitely webbed among other histories are painted with symbols and figures in watercolors, gouaches and inks in a colorful, conceptual manner.
