I shot this at night with flash. I had to use manual focus and hope the bat would come within my depth of field and frame. I cropped and adjusted exposure and noise in PS.

Awesome deapth of field! Damn, I wish I could pull that off. I don't see the bats around my house often enough to even try to shoot them. Maybe I'll put in a bathouse in the back yard....

DeKalb, IL in Prarie Park on the bridge there a while after sunset. The bat was hunting bugs in the air.
