Students |
It's one of the risks of University
employment: there are times of the year
when one encounters actual students.
They are quite sweet and harmless,
unless they are packing an AK47, in
which case they are exercising their god
given right of militas to bear arms
(hey, we live in Jawja).
The thing to watch out for are the
professors, an American species not
known for the sense of humor. They hone their gravitas on NSF panels
['NSF panel' is an American university
sport in which the `applicant' is taken
to a dark alley where 12 `panelists'
clad into black hoods and wielding
baseball bats `evaluate' the
`proposal'].
