Zima Blue Trees

My tribute to the short story "Zima Blue," by Alistair Reynolds.

"Zima Blue," is written in the voice of the journalist Carrie Clay. Mixed in with the story of an artist who becomes obsessed with a specific shade of blue is a meditation on the definition of character and how each of us changes or petrifies over time. This is a story that bears repeated reading.
