Went out looking for the Blue Grosbeak and apparently this Harris's Sparrow, didn't realize that they were in different places and hence saw neither. Congrats on the life bird, I'd liked to have seen this adult, I've only seen an SY bird before.

Wow! Good job on the life bird! I had somthing to ask you. Why does some birds have the name harris in it? does it mean somthing? like this bird and the harris hawk and others? I guess I was wondering because thats my last name!

The person who describes a species gets to name it, they are often named either after the person finding it, or in honor of somebody. In other cases it is after the loaction they are found. In this case it is named after an amateur ornothologist (Edward Harris).
