District of Columbia Voting Rights
In 2008 all taxpaying citizens of the United States will get to vote for Representatives in Congress and the Senate -- except for those of us who live in Washington, DC. It's ironic and sad that voting rights still don't exist in the capital of the free world.

There are also US citizens residing in Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands, and they also lack voting representation in Congress. But they, unlike DC residents, don't have to pay federal income tax.
