Looks fancy. I like silver and black bikes. But then I am also an Oakland Raiders fan. What can I say? My partner is riding a Vitus 979 that is silver and black. I got it last year off craiglist for $100 and overhauled it. She loves it! I just got a bike several days ago, a black Bianchi road bike from maybe the early 80s. It has some rust and might be too small but it had some great components that I removed. Sadly, I'll probably just have to try and resell the double butted steel frame with the nice chrome fork. It would be a great silver/black fixie but I am already in the middle of restoring my Centurion. Love the wheels on the Benz. :)

Mercedes know a thing or two about engineering, have the ability to consult people who know about bikes and the capital to push forward any project they wish. However, it just doesn't sit right with me somehow. (Though my son had a Peugeot bike some years ago and I have a Peugeot car.)

For the market they're aiming for, I think an internal hub (like the Nexxus or even Rohloff) would be a better fit. Needs a chaincase and fenders/mudguards, too.
