Tommy is an autonomous, Java-controlled vehicle that was entered into the 2005 DARPA Challenge. Tommy had a hardware failure and hit a siderail at 60 mph and was disqualified from the Challenge. Tommy is at the Menlo Park Sun campus today and this weekend. Tommy is deaf, dumb and blind, but he sure plays a mean pinball. More about Tommy here.
