Lou was a champion bronco and bull rider throughout the 80s and 90s, traveling the country and competing in rodeos in big arenas. Here, he'd just finished gathering up cows, weaning the calves and turning out a dozen or so heads for sale. Afterwards he had to repair a water line that broke. Then he posed for a few quick photos before loading up his horse and driving back to town about 2 hours away. All in a day's work. Some men, they've got grit. There ain't no other way to put it.

Hands down the best audio book to listen to on long road trips through cowboy country.
