Beautiful. I didn't realise he had died. How sad. The world will be a poorer place without his music.

Thanks all. I'm very fond of that photo. An arbitrary fact is that is my sister walking behind the tree. It was a beautiful, yet cold, day. We couldn't hang around out of doors for more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time.
I think Ali Farka Touré was an incredible musician and a down to earth human being. I'm looking forward to the release of the album he completed shortly before his death.
